Logistics Specialist
Robinson Lumber Company is looking to hire a Logistics Specialist to join our team!
This role focuses on the execution side of our order fulfillment process, including coordinating shipments, managing transportation bookings, and supporting documentation from booking through final delivery.
We welcome applicants who are early in their careers or looking to transition into logistics. You do not need extensive prior experience — we will provide hands-on training and one-on-one mentoring from an experienced operations team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to learn how shipments move through a fast-paced supply chain.
This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in logistics, transportation coordination, and international shipping operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with coordinating and booking domestic and international freight
- Supporting shipment scheduling, cargo readiness, and carrier communication
- Preparing and organizing shipment documentation for domestic and export orders (training provided)
- Monitoring shipment status and sharing updates with internal teams
- Maintaining accurate shipment records in Salesforce with guidance from the team
- Learning how to support customs, compliance, and regulatory documentation requirements
- Other tasks as assigned as you grow in the role
We are looking for someone who:
- Is organized and able to manage multiple tasks with support and training
- Communicates clearly and is comfortable working with both internal teams and external partners
- Is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Does not need prior logistics experience — we will train the right candidate
- Any experience in customer service, office work, retail, or administrative support is helpful but not required
